Dog Tricks Training Commands are easy to learn, they are man’s best friend. For dog-lovers, they are loyal companions. Of course, with any companionship, you should be able to teach them the right and wrong things to do.
Dog training commands aren’t just for show; they make things easier for you as an owner and they might even save your pet’s life in the future. Below are some of those cues that you should start teaching your dogs now if they don’t know how to follow them yet, however, if you’re looking for more serious and advanced training I suggest getting a Dog Trainer.
Watch. Look.
Train your pet the look or watch me command so you can always get your dog to focus on you even with lots of distractions around.
Sit. Lie Down.
Teaching your dog these commands can help it settle down and relax whenever necessary. You manage unwanted behaviors by making them sit or lie down on cue.
Come/Recall.
The come command should only be thought of by your dog as associated with good things. This way, it will always be happy to come when you call them.
Emergency Recall.
This should only be used in emergencies where you want your dog to come to you immediately. This can save lives, such as when your dog is about to run in front of a moving car.
With Me/Easy/No Pull.
These commands will keep them from pulling on the leash, allowing them to walk at pace with you. You won’t endanger the dog, yourself, and others when you’re both relaxed.
Leave It. Drop It.
The leave it commands will prevent your dog from picking up something harmful. Meanwhile, drop it can save dogs from eating something toxic when they’ve picked it up already.
Stay. Wait.
Save your pet’s life by preventing it from getting into unsafe situations such as bolting out of the door or car. This way, you can manage your dog’s behavior at home and in public.
