Actor-comedian Kevin Hart and two others survived a car crash in Calabasas, California early Sunday.
According to the incident report by California Highway Patrol, Hart and his driver, Jared Black, suffered “major injuries” after their vehicle went off-road and rolled down an embankment just after midnight. Black reportedly lost control of Hart’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda on Mulholland Highway. Patrol officers determined that he and friend, who was behind the wheel at the time of the crash, were not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The report also said Black and the third passenger, his fiance Rebecca Broxterman, were in the vehicle with Hart. The actor left the scene to his nearby residence to call for medical attention. He was, then, taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Centre for treatment, while the driver was transported to another nearby hospital. The third passenger did not have substantial injuries.
Last July, Hart bought the Plymouth as a 40th birthday gift to himself.
On the day before the crash, Hart posted on his Instagram: “Being home makes me happy….enjoy your weekend people!!!! #LiveLoveLaugh.”
A report from Blast says that he is able to walk and that the ‘major’ injuries are not spinal cord related. Fans and other famous figures have shared their prayers for recovery and wishes for Hart.
Get well soon, brother 🙏🏾❤️
