McDonald’s short History
For History, George T. Yang built the first McDonald’sbranch located in Morayta, Manila. It was established in 1981. Mcdonald’s first few branches opened in the year 1992 and it is located in Visayas and Mindanao.
In 2005 Mcdonald’s Philippines became a 100% Filipino owned company and in 2012 the total branches of Mcdonalds in the Philippines are about 300. Because of its products and services, Mcdonald’s became one of the most loved restaurants by Filipinos. They also serve Pinoy favorites such as Fried Chicken, Spaghetti and Hamburgers. Were you thinking of Cheeseburgers, Big Mac and Fries? Sounds delicious, right?!

McDonald’s is constantly adjusting to the needs and tastes of Filipinos. in 1996, Mr. Yang believes in giving back, so he made the Ronald Mcdonald House Charities (RMHC), provide shelter, education, and happiness for Filipino children. They are also making things easy for the customers, they are delivering their products 24/7 in some areas nationwide. They do have a drive-thru for some that have a very busy schedule but do not want to miss a meal.
The Total Branches of McDonald’s in the Philippines hits 600 and it’s still growing. They are also making their branches more attractive and high-tech, to continue to create feel-good moments for every Filipino family. Branches that they establishing right now are what they called NXTGEN, it’s quite retro but modern. You will have a brand-new experience once you visit their NXTGEN stores.
The first NXTGEN store is located at McKinley West, Taguig City. Today there are more than 100 NXTGEN branches nationwide. Their mission is “To serve the Filipino community by providing great tasting food and the most relevant customer delight experience” McDonald’s will always find a way on how we will enjoy the food, from the quality of its products until their branches’ interior and exterior.
