As the situation around the globe continually worsens because of the effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). I believe many of us are still not taking it seriously. The Pandemic will continue to evolve, and there’s so much information that we hear each day, and this is why we will discuss the things that we didn’t know about Coronavirus (COVID-19). Let’s have some answered questions.
Warmer weather can stop the spread of the virus.
The coughing and sneezing will lessen because of the warm weather, but it doesn’t mean that it will stop the spread of the virus, that’s why social distancing is still implemented. Also, in the Philippines, it is summer season, but in the span of 3 weeks, we have reached 4000 patients positive with the virus.
All positive with COVID-19 will die
The fatality rate of the COVID-19 is 3.4% according to WHO as of March 3, 2020, but it varies from timeframes, country and, age. It is not as deadly as SARS or Ebola, but it does not mean that we have to take it easy since there’s still NO VACCINE from the virus.
Packages from China can Spread COVID-19
No, you will not get infected by the virus by receiving parcels from another county. The CDC clarifies that the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) through respiratory droplets. The virus can survive on surfaces in a short period of time. So, it is unlikely to spread the virus through products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks.

Animals and COVID-19
Regarding CDC there’s still no evidence that our pets can spread Coronavirus (COVID-19) to humans. Animals have their own coronaviruses that can make them sick. It is reiterated to always practice healthy habits around pets and other animals. Washing your hands and maintaining good hygiene is still the best.
We not allowed to touch a person that is positive to disease and passed away
There are still several things to work on when it comes to research. Coronavirus (COVID-19) transmissibility is through respiratory droplets that spread through coughing or sneezing and can later be inhaled by another person. And, since the infected person has died it will not be an issue anymore. It is still best to avoid touching the body since it is contagious. The person that touches it can touch his/her nose, eyes, or mouth.
Children are not Infected
Coronavirus (COVID-19) infects all ages, from youngest to oldest. In most mild to severe cases, we have adults so far, but that doesn’t mean that children are exempted. Children are likely to be infected but mostly asymptomatic.
