“You’re always going to wonder if you’re doing things wrong, but that’s what it means to be a mom, to care so much about someone else that you just want to be as perfect as possible.” – Naiya Rivera. We are living in this generation by constantly getting information on how we can raise our children, most are helpful but some are quite confusing. But for this one, I’d like to dig in and write some facts about being a mother people usually don’t tell you, so I will do it for you! And you’re welcome.
Lifechanging
Everything will change once you become a mom your priorities will change. Before you can go on some trips without worrying about your safety, you’d go to the department store and head straight to cosmetic sections, you don’t care about the future, you just enjoy, but now, you are always thinking of someone else, you want to be safe in all the time because you are afraid you’ll die and nobody will take care of your child, yeah! It may sound exaggerated but it’s really like that!
Your arms will be the safest place
Most especially when your kid is hurt or sick, your hug will be very comforting, When your child is crying or in pain, your arms will be their refuge. It’s wonderful that you know how you can calm down a person so easily. You know what they want just by calling you.
Surprise on how strong you can be
This is the time that you’ll realize that you can do things that you’ve never done before or haven’t thought of doing. I usually say that my mom is really brave, most especially when someone is trying to oppress me, my mom becomes a lion and starts nagging on those people. One fact about motherhood is you will try your best to protect your child in any way that you can.
You’ll understand your MOM
When we are young, we say that our mother is annoying, but once you become a mom, you’ll see things from her perspective. You’ll understand why is she doing those things. You’ll learn how to empathize with other moms. Aside from that, you will value your mother and other moms because you know the hardship of being one.

You Worry Too much!
Like the no.1, you’ll keep on thinking, you’ll have a lot of “What if’s”. Even in pregnancy, though the doctor told you not to think of negative things it keeps coming up in your head, maybe it’s the hormones kicking it! You constantly worry about that child.
The no. 1 Job
They say if you have a son, “you’ll work from Son up to son down”, being a mother is I think the most important job in the world. You’ll nurture a kid that will soon become a teacher, a nurse, a policeman and even become a president in the future. If you are a mother you’ll be a chef, a doctor, a teacher, a house cleaner and everything else just to make sure that you are 100% taking care of your baby.
There’s no “Me Time”
For some new mother’s this will be very sad, heartbreaking. You’ll forget to think about yourself, you’ll be more focused on taking care of your baby. In time, you can manage it, You’ll be able to adjust, but if I were you, I’d enjoy every second of it, you’ll thank me later if you’ll do.

Breastfeeding is not as easy as it seems
In some pictures, mother’s are enjoying to breastfeed their baby, still being poised, but including on facts about motherhood, breastfeeding is NOT EASY! There will be nipple biting, feeling uncomfortable and very painful! However, you’ll set aside that pain just to give the best nourishment for your baby.
No Dull Moment
More running. Plenty of exercises I’d say. You’ll enjoy day time and you’ll appreciate the night time. You need to wake up early even if you don’t want too, pick up toys for a hundred times, it’s pretty exhausting. Anyhow, you’ll see yourself very responsible, you’ll feel a sense of appreciation and I bet your kids will also appreciate those things that you do in time.
Your baby will always be your baby
They may be on the teens but you still look at them like they are the small bud that you carry all along. Like I said in no. 7, savor every moment because time flies. Before they’ll keep on running back to you and then the next thing is they don’t want you to meddle in.
Amazing that your husband became a loving father
Yes, there’s definitely a part of you that feels grateful whenever you see your husband taking care of your baby. Your husband might be your no.1 “frienemy” but you’ll set that aside when you see him loving your kids. Aw, so sweet!

Became a Superhero
You’ll be whatever your child wants you to be. You’ll be a character on her favorite cartoon show, you’ll make role-playing games and soon you’ll have a best friend a person that you can talk to and share thought about something.
You are in Sync
I actually ask my daughter, “when I smile at you what do you feel?” She grinned and says “I feel happy”. You have a connection that is unbounded. It cannot be explained but you’ll know when your child is feeling sick or sad so thus he/she.

Time Machine
There are sleepless nights, and you might think that it is the longest night of your life but then you’ll also realize that time passed by quickly because you just gave birth and just in a blink of an eye your baby is now learning to walk. The days will sometimes feel unbearably long, but the years will pass by incredibly quickly. It’s a mix of emotion every time you baby ages. You’re happy because they are growing healthy and strong, it actually an achievement for you but you also feel sad because time is running fast that in time your baby will be independent and will no longer be a baby.
Unconditional Love
You may be angry at times, scold your kid and punish, but what they don’t know is you were more hurt doing that. We love them no matter what, you may not like all the things that he/she does but you love him/her. A mother can always sacrifice for her child, they’ll do anything just to make sure you are safe and sound. To love unconditionally is one of the greatest things that I have learned, it is amazing, and you’ll never trade it with anything else in the world.
