Dates During the Quarantine period sounds silly and Walking while holding hands might just be a thing in the past, in the age of coronavirus, lovers on their early days will be far away from each other and will be missing one another. While on the other way around husbands and wives will together 24/7, which for some may be too boring and will just be moaning about what’s happening. Dates will be the last thing on your head because everyone is locking themselves at home and just don’t want to go out because there are so many precautions that we need to remember, like bringing the Quarantine pass, social distancing and so on.
So, I just thought about the best things that you can do with your loved ones while you are at home and what to do when you are also very far from each other, let’s have dates during the quarantine period.
Netflix and Chill
For couples that are together in the house, you can binge watch some movies or series all day long, it’s good to be updated on the news but it sometimes gives you more stress. So try to chill and watch some movies. And who told you that you cannot watch together while you are far away from each other? There are some applications that you can use like TwoSeven and Zoom screen share that you can sync up your vis and it has a chat box where you can react together. Making use of technology!
Get Fit Together
Because why not? You have plenty of time to exercise and be fit. Do it with your partner and you can do video calls if you are far from each other. You can take advantage of this time to be healthy and while you are doing it, you are also achieving a goal with your partner. Dates during the quarantines are not always rainbows and butterflies, try to sweat it out.
It’s Time to Read Books
Maybe this is the time that you can finish a novel. Make reading a habit before going to bed and maybe you can be more chivalrous and romantic with your partner, being inspired by the books that you are reading. To be honest I’m into movies instead of books but they said that it’s food for your brain.
Try New Hobbies Together
Oh! That poor dry plants out there that lack water, well now, you can have so much time to dig in and plant some more. Both of you can maybe plant some vegetables that you can eat when it’s time or flowers to give you good vibes when it blooms. Try to cook, make some delicious recipes at home, and make dinner more delightful. You can send it to your loved one if possible and when it’s safe to do so.
Plan A Candlelit Dinner
Who says that this would be silly? It definitely ROMANTIC, If you are at home, you can prepare for the place to be fancier and cook a nice dish. And to those that are LDR you can use some apps which will let you talk to each other, it can be Facetime, Skype, Zoom, or Messenger, whatever that is, romantic dinner can still be done. You can walk outside and talk about your feelings. Love has no boundaries, it is doing the best that you can with what you have.
Be presentable, dress up the way you should be. Tidy up, I know! Taking a shower and grooming up is not what you are thinking about right now. But your partner would really want a pretty/handsome partner in front of him/her. Right?!
The situation right now can be very stressful for both of you and can bring chaos and arguments. But you have to remember, you are in this, TOGETHER. It’s actually a relief that you have someone to talk to at times like this. There is a person that will lend their ear for you when you want to speak about something. The point is, do things together, put your phones away, and give your attention to each other – if you are married. If you are not together, spend some time by texting, chatting, or doing some video calls. In that way, both of you can feel that spark and the intimacy that you’ll both need.
