The new PlayStation console has been announced to arrive at the end of 2020. The latest generation of the console will be called PS5. While the console is still under development, Sony has teased about its features and price prior to it being commercially available. (image source)
We can expect many things about PS5 compared to its predecessors, the PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro, according to Sony’s chief architect Mark Cerny. As for the price range, it will cost more than the previous models which were valued at $400+.
Nothing’s confirmed with what new games can be played on it. It can definitely be used to play all of Sony’s big franchises, including the much-awaited Death Stranding and Ghosts of Tsushima. PS5 is also reported to be compatible with current PSVR hardware.
The PS5 will also come with its own controller. Reports say that the controller will include haptic feedback to replace the DualShock 4’s rumble technology. This will improve the controller’s feedback, better accuracy, as well as the immersion in the game.
There are plenty of other “leaked” features on the new console, much to the fans’ excitement, but we’ll all be certain once the full list is formally and officially announced.
